Cybal's Story
"We're happy to have our family member at home..."
Cybal was adopted by a young couple as a puppy. Ten years later, Cybal was diagnosed with a very large tumor.
Cybal needed surgeries and tests to take care of her tumor, but her family had been struggling financially due to unemployment. Cybal's tumor looked as if it had been growing for months, and later looked as if it might burst. Cybal's owners had no money for food, much less being able to afford a major surgery, but they loved Cybal with all their hearts. They did everything they could, and that's when The Sergey Foundation got a call. After taking Cybal to the vet, her owners were told that she would need emergency surgery to remove the tumor. They qualified for aid from The Sergey Foundation, and we were glad to give it. |
After Cybal's surgery, the vet told us that they had never seen such an invasive tumor before, but they were sure the entire tumor was removed.
Cybal's family received help from both The Sergey Foundation and the Grey Muzzle Organization, and between the two of us, Cybal's family did not have to worry about the cost of the necessary care. They were able to pick up Cybal after her surgery with no bill to pay.
Later, the family wrote to us saying, "I just wanted to thank you once again for helping us with Cybal. The alternative wasn't looking so good, and we're happy to have our family member at home recovering. I'm not sure what we could have done without your services, and for that I'll be forever grateful. Beyond that I don't know what else to say except thank you from the bottom of my heart, and please pass my gratitude on to all those that made this possible."
